Learn how to work with dynamic properties passed in Wunderkind AMP payloads
Wunderkind passes user-dynamic data in the API calls that trigger your Cordial Podium Orchestrations. Use this page when personalizing marketing messages with that data. For more guidance on composing AMP email designs in Cordial, see our Help Center.
The properties on this page represent standard e-commerce events, as shown in our API payload examples here. These examples are intended as a general reference and do not reflect client-specific customizations.
Persisting Trigger Data Throughout the Journey
Your Wunderkind-provisioned Podium Orchestrations will start with a Data Job Action which uses the Cordial utilities renderInfo and updateSessionStore to save trigger data to session store. For example, the below snippet saves the Items property from the API request.
{$meta = $utils->renderInfo()}
{if not $meta.preview}
{$stored = $utils->updateSessionStore([
'WkItems' => $triggerData.properties.Items
])}
{/if}To use a property for message personalization, the property must be stored in that Data Job. Then, within the message creative, use the getSessionStore utility as follows:
{$session = $utils->getSessionStore()}
{$WkItems = $session.WkItems}After getting the variables from session store, you can use {$WkItems} within HTML or Smarty builds.
Dynamic Product Properties
Each trigger payload includes an Items array, which populates one object per dynamic product. By default, the array is sorted by the recipient's interaction recency (most recent to least recent). The following keys are sent within each product object. For example, to print the first item's name, use {$WkItems[0].WkCopy}.
WkId: Unique product IDWkCopy: Product nameWkImageUrl: Product image path (src attribute)WkUrl: Product page URL
In certain catalog events, additional keys are available within each product object. Do not reference these keys outside of the specified campaigns:
- Price Drop
WkPrice: Original product priceWkSalePrice: Discounted sale price
- Low Stock
WkQuantity: Remaining inventory

Dynamic Hero Properties
In certain abandonment events, additional root-level properties are available to use as dynamic URLs in email template sections other than the product grid. Note that for each example below, the session storage setup from the first section of this page must be implemented, to persist the variable from the trigger event.
-
{$WkCategoryUrl}- The URL of a user's abandoned category landing page. We recommend using this as your hero URL in Category Abandonment emails.
<a href="{$WkCategoryUrl}">Continue browsing</a>
-
{$WkCartReplenUrl}- The URL to replenish a user's cart. We recommend using this as your hero URL in Cart Abandonment emails.
<a href="{$WkCartReplenUrl}">Return to your cart</a>- Note: Replenishment support varies by customer; reach out to your Wunderkind representative for details. If your implementation supports replenishment, the default functionality is to drive the user directly to your homepage, followed by a redirect to their shopping cart if it's found to have a quantity.
