Building Flows Using Wunderkind Metrics
Learn how to set up targeted email marketing flows triggered off Wunderkind's metrics in Klaviyo
Each metric that Wunderkind provides will be used to trigger its own targeted email flow for users that took the corresponding action.
The below steps walk you through setting up a metric-triggered flow, which you can then clone to create additional flows for each Wunderkind metric. We'll start with Cart Abandonment in this example.
Create A Flow
- In Klaviyo, go to Flows β Create flow β Build your own
- Name your flow "Cart Abandonment - Wunderkind" (see recommended flow names for each metric)
- Select or create the
wknd
tag - Select Create manually
- Select a trigger β All triggers β Metric
- Search for
wknd-cartabandonment
- After selecting the metric, click Saveβ Confirm and save
- Follow the steps in the Add Segmentation To Your Flow section to create targeted messages for prospective vs. returning customers
- Now that your first flow is built out according to the recommended segmentation and cadence, you can clone it to create additional flows for the rest of the Wunderkind metrics
Add Segmentation To Your Flow
-
From the left panel, drag a Trigger split into your flow
-
In the right panel, set the Trigger split details to check if
UserType
equalsProspect
-
After clicking Save, your flow will update to show a Yes/No split:
-
-
From the left panel, drag an Email into the Prospect flow
-
Fill out Email details as you see fit: Subject, Sender, etc.
-
Under Email details β Settings
- Disable "Skip recently emailed profiles" (i.e. Smart Sending)
- Enable "Use custom tracking parameters", setting
utm_term
towknd_signals
-
-
Under Email details β Template, be sure to select or build a creative that utilizes Wunderkind's dynamic product grid
-
Using the three dots menu, Clone the email to create additional messages within the prospect flow, separated by Time delays using the recommendations below
-
Repeat steps 4-8 for the customer side of the Trigger split
Set up any suppression filters, conversion checks, etc within your flow. To note, Wunderkind will check to ensure a user is not unsubscribed before sending a Signal to Klaviyo. Add stricter filters in Klaviyo if needed.
